Vacuum Forming Process:
- Heating the Sheet:
- The plastic sheet is heated to the forming temperature.
- Vacuum Application:
- Immediately after reaching the forming temperature, the vacuum is applied as the tool raises.
- Key components:
- Vacuum Hoses and Pump: Create the vacuum pressure needed for forming.
- Clamp Frame: Holds the plastic sheet in place.
- Table Seals: Ensure airtight conditions for effective vacuum application.
- Even Flow on Basic Prototype Tool Moulding:
- Vacuum Flow Distribution: Ensure an even vacuum flow from the table's central vacuum hole to the underside of all moulding tools.
- Use of Spacers: Tools should be raised off the baseboard using spacers such as double-sided foam tape, thin plywood strips, washers, or wire mesh to facilitate uniform vacuum flow.
- Improving Vacuum Flow and Air Pressure:
- Tool Elevation: Raising a mould/tool off the baseboard by 1 mm generates a stronger vacuum flow and better definition.
- Uniform Heating and Vacuum Holes: An even spread of vacuum holes and uniform heating make the vacuum's pull more effective, particularly in areas with less resilience in the sheet.
Materials and Moulds:
- Resin CNC Molds and 3D Printed Moulds: Used for prototype work to achieve precise and efficient vacuum forming.
Products and Services:
- Range of Products: Vacuum formed trays, pressure forming, protective packaging, transit trays, and point of sale displays.
- Custom Solutions:We can handle unique and custom items, ensuring high-quality results for a wide array of products.
